£37 billion for Test & Trace or £500k for every person in Britain, we asked the public what they would prefer

On the streets of Stoke we didn’t speak to anyone as we weren’t there, who wants to be in Stoke?

This week we’re in London asking members of the public if they would prefer the current Test & Trace system or 500 grand directly to them.

Which would you rather, cyclist we have stopped in the middle of the road?

“Well I don’t know you see because it is all about national unity and helping each other so maybe I’d pick the current Test & Trace system, flaws and all”.

Which would you rather, random citizen?

“I think it’s good to have a system that tracks people down so that they can be told to isolate and not make anyone else sick”.

But you don’t think that paying people 500 grand to stay inside would achieve that?

“… I believe the Government is inherently good and will do the right…”.

“I would take the 500 grand because I’m not stupid and I would rather have 500 grand than something that doesn’t work”.

“We aren’t youths, we are a group of young conservatives and we believe that the Tory Government is doing everything in its power to help the rich, famous and successful survive this pandemic”.

“I would like economic and climate stability for my future, but I understand that in order to make these gains some sacrifices have to be made. This would include the current Test and Trace system and also probably capitalism in its current antiquated form”.
