Apple has lost nearly all of its staff after CEO Tim Cook sent a memo to all staff saying they would have to be back in the office for at least 3 days a week by September.
Turns out people like working from home. It offers them an insurmountable amount of benefits, so much so that employees would rather leave their job than have to return to the office.
A stark warning to other businesses that are also considering similar plans. People would rather suffer in the cold jaws of eviction, face starvation and possibly have to sell off a child for rent, rather than sit on a hot, packed bus for an hour every morning.
Tim Cook’s memo to staff – unbeknownst to him his last memo – said that he missed “the hum of activity” of in-person working and that he knew “I’m not alone”.
A lonely Tim Cook now wanders around the giant California Apple office lonely, his only friend Siri.
Scratched on the wall with the new IPad Pro pen it reads, “If a CEO writes a memo but no one is around to read it, does it get actioned?”
