In an exciting new move, Facebook has announced that instead of suggested friends you will now have one suggestion: the love of your life.
Keep an eye out for that person appearing on your timeline, in your notifications or if they are bold, sliding into your DMs.
Facebook released a statement today alongside the new feature:
“We have enough data now to pretty much confirm everyone’s match-up with about 99.99% certainty, so we thought, let’s remove the middle man and cut straight to the chase. People want to meet the love of their life and people have to be on Facebook, so this seemed like the best option to us”.
An official statement on the move was also released from Mark Zuckerberg:
“01001100,01101111,01110110,01100101,00100000,01110111,01101001,01101100,01101100,00100000,01100011,01101111,01101110,01110001,01110101,01100101,01110010,00100000,01100001,01101100,01101100,00100000,01100001,01101110,01100100,00100000,01101001,01100110,00100000,01101110,01101111,01110100,00100000,01101100,01101111,01110110,01100101,00101100,00100000,01110100,01101000,01100101,01101110,00100000,01000110,01100001,01100011,01100101,01100010,01101111,01101111,01101011,00100000,01110111,01101001,01101100,01101100,00100001,00100000,01001100,01101111,01101110,01100111,00100000,01101100,01101001,01110110,01100101,00100000,01101101,01100101,00101110”.
Which we think means, “Love will conquer all and if not love, then Facebook will! Long live me”.
If you think that the person you have been matched with is not your match, then there will be an option to reject the match but be warned you may then die alone, don’t be that person.
