Hosts Russia have beaten opponents Croatia in their quarter final leg after adding Russian favourite Novichok to the line-up
Novichok, a relatively unknown player until his eye opening season in the English leagues earlier this year, has really opened up the world cup.
“No one really wants to go near him or even tackle him, he’s all over the ball with no real contest” said Clive Tyldesley.
“It just shows that Russia does have a lot of surprises up their sleeves and you never really know when you’re safe” added Guy Mowbray.
Novichok’s agent, a nervous man, stated after the game that they will be open for transfer to any leagues around the world, depending on how Russia’s allies line up.
“England should be really worried about their next match to be honest, getting a goal would be good but coming out of the game not paralysed and foaming at the mouth is priority number one” Gareth Southgate, England manager.
