Fashion brand Gucci has announced plans to aid the floundering business of science by sponsoring the first baby designed in a lab, as long as it’s skin colour matches their white preference that is.
“We’ve conquered the fashion world now it’s time to see us conquer the science world, we’ve found genetics to be to generic. All thats about to change, for rich white people that is.” – Marco Bizzarri, Gucci CEO.
Gucci, recently under fire for their controversial blackface jumper, hope that this will bring them back onto the public’s good side as; “Everyone loves a cute (test tube designed) baby”.
The public’s reaction to the news has been mixed, some people hate the idea as they brand Gucci as ‘playing god’. Other people welcomed the idea, “in my world Gucci is god”. There has even been a website started in anticipation for babies that had recently been born but are just so unattractive parents want to trade them in.
If you think that this is outrageous because, as one shopper said “omg like the cost”, don’t worry there will be knock off babies in every major hospital within months.
If you’re further outraged, not by cost but by the idea Gucci would do this, fear not all other major houses of fashion have pledged to also start making their own designer babies.
