Campaigners around the world are said to be thrilled by the news that Julien Assange has been freed after a passer-by heard his rendition of Mo Money Mo Problems and chewed through the wood to get him out.
We spoke with the passer-by and asked him why he couldn’t have waited for tools or help to arrive before he chewed through the box. He had this to say: “I just had to get him out, I couldn’t let him sit in there and get to the next chorus. It was awful. Wildlife was dying around me. The man truly cannot sing.”
Assange, once thought to be hiding in the Ecuadorian embassy and later, in prison, seems to have actually been trapped in the small box all along.
Assange is most famously known for ghost writing songs for the pop group Girls Aloud and founding Wikileaks.
Wikileaks is the militant wing of Wikipedia.
With Julien Assange now free, we don’t know what the future holds for democracy and perhaps more importantly, for the Girls Aloud discography.
