It has been reported that ever since the Suez Canal has been blocked by the ship Ever Given, the Panama Canal has been flowing faster than ever.
Dockworkers have reported a ‘smugness’ to the canal’s new-found passion for moving boats.
“We are moving ships through at twice the speed as normal and everyone seems happier.” – Panama Canal CEO Aquaman.
Website Top10Canals.com has been predicting this issue would happen for a while now and says, it is “No surprise that the Ever Given got stuck and is taking even longer to re-float. Christ, they only have one digger in Egypt and it doesn’t even work weekends.”
In the world canal Discord channel, the Panama Canal was overheard throwing shade towards the Suez Canal, saying to other canals:
“I always said that they [Suez Canal] were too small for their own good. Always trying to get larger and larger boats through. Like hello, you carry 12% of world trade already. Don’t push yourself love.”
They subsequently shared the memes below to the equally famous Leeds & Liverpool Canal in an attempt to mock the Suez Canal.
Both the Ever Given and the Suez Canal were unavailable for comment but it looked like they were crying. Hard to tell, lots of water about.
