ISIS’ resident poster girl and mum of the year, Shamima Begum, has announced plans to leave ISIS and join the newly formed Independent Group.
The group, now made up of all the major parties; Labour, Conservatives and ISIS has decided to form this unlikely coalition. The reasons behind this? Mainly in protest of Brexit decision making, the handling of anti-semitism and a new aim, which has something to do with losing British Citizenship when you go to join a terrorist group in a foreign country but want to return. The details on that have been murky so far.
In a conference today, Independent Group leader Chuka Umunna stated, “We are happy to have Shamima on board, we think she can be a great asset to us. I must say it’s also nice to have another minority in the team as well.”
The announcement comes at a time when most people thought Mrs Begum wouldn’t be able to find a new home. Luckily, she says, when this opportunity presented itself it was just, “to good to pass up, it combines both my love of British politics and fringe groups that start with the letter I.”
