Debenhams staff – “We’d rather die on the street, homeless and starving, than work for Mike Ashley”

Today Debenhams has fallen into the hands of lenders after it rejected a second buyout bid from Mr Ashley. The Sports Direct Lucifer, already owns 29% of the shares and clearly Debenhams thought that was more than enough. Choosing self combustion rather than to ever work for Mike Ashley.

The Lenders have decided to sell the business immediately, meaning shareholders lose their investment. Mike Ashley owns around £150 million in Debenhams shares, all of which will be wiped out.

“It’s an incredible feeling” said 64 year old Debenhams employee Margret Smith. “I’ve seen what he does to businesses, Sports Direct is modern day slavery. I’d rather die; cold, starving and alone, than work for him. If we had even a shot at taking this monetary slap to Mike Ashley’s face, I’d say go for it. I don’t care for my pension or my grandkids, a wholehearted fuck-you to Mr Ashley is fulfilling enough. Take that to the casino you bastard!”.
