Keir Starmer seen practising hugs ahead of 17th May

Keir Starmer with his arms out, as if attempting a hug

The Labour leader, still reeling from last week’s losses in the election, has now been seen practising hugging ahead of the big date next week.

Starmer has frequently been berated in the past for having a robotic-like response to human interaction, but his closest advisors assure us that he will be fully prepared for any hugs coming his way. He may even go out of his way to initiate some himself.

In the video which has been taken down from all over the internet, you can see Mr Starmer stood in front of a mirror saying, “Hugs are human, hugs are love and love is human”.

The Labour leader will kick start the week with a public photo-op hug with Ex-MP and close personal advisor Jenny Chapman, much to his wife’s dismay.
